What is Creative Mixing?

Creative mixing is an incredible option for those who know the fundamentals of production but need help giving their song that last 10%. This can include swapping samples, adding or removing elements, creative FX automations and more. Creative mixing includes an optional live revision session.

What is a Demo Polish?

Demo Polishes are limited to 8 tracks. I will clean up your instruments and vocals and do a basic mix. This does not include any sort of co-production, mastering or vocal alignment. This is an inexpensive option for songwriters who simply wish to have their demos made ready to be pitched to publishers.

What is a Full Production?

Full Productions include songwriting assistance, composition/arrangement, in-the-box production, vocal alignment and tuning, mixing and mastering. They include 3 live collaborative sessions as well as a revision session.

(All production on my end is done "in-the-box". You will be required to provide any live recorded vocals or instruments for me to include within your production.)

What is a Mentorship?

I offer two mentorship programs.

"Music With Mike" is a production-centric program that focuses on Music Theory, Songwriting, Composition, Arrangement and Production Technique.

"Mixing With Mike" is a mix-centric program that focuses on understanding audio engineering concepts including EQ, Compression, Saturation, Reverbs/Delays and Stereo Imaging. We will discuss organizational workflows like bussing, routing, and sends/returns.

Both programs are three months long and include a personalized, progressive curriculum tailored to students desired outcomes.

Testimonials

Karla A. (GENNEVA)

Mike's creative mixing process is AMAZING! I Love having that second set of ears to help improve on my production before mixing even begins. The real time revision session is awesome too because there's nothing I hate more than going back and forth in emails.

Carlos V. (KALOSI)

Mike is an awesome teacher! He really knows his stuff and has helped me eliminate so many bad habits I picked up over the years. I make EDM and he has really helped me achieve loud and clear mixes that still punch.

Tara F.

Mike was able to teach me what I needed to know about making music in Ableton sooo much faster than I would've been able to do on my own. I highly recommend him, especially if you need help with music theory.

Got Questions?

Find answers to most commonly asked questions here!

What Genre's do you produce?

I specialize in Pop, Electronic and Latin. However, if you are looking for mentoring sessions we are able to focus on whichever genre you plan on producing. If any of your productions require a live session musician, you will be responsible for providing the recordings.

Why do I need to book a call before buying?

I only accept money from clients I believe I can help. This initial call is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and start a working relationship. It gives me the opportunity to share with you what you can expect from me as your producer, mix engineer, or mentor before you make any transaction.

What platform do you use for live sessions?

For our initial call we will use zoom, but after that we will use a program called sessionwire (you do not have to pay for this service, I pay for it).

Sessionwire is a video conferencing app that accompanies a plugin that allows us to share high quality uncompressed audio directly from our DAW into the video call and is much less CPU intensive than Zoom.

What DAW do you use?

Personally I prefer Ableton and will use that during our sessions. If you are using a different DAW that is OK. The topics I cover in mentorship sessions are not DAW specific.

Can you help with music distribution and promotion?

While I can give you some general advice on the topic, this is not the focus of my mentorships. I focus on creating quality musicians, producers and mix engineers, not business administrators.

Can you help me with Social Media?

Social Media Guidance is an optional portion of the mentorship programs. I can't promise you will be able to create a viral reel or tik tok but I can guide you in how you can best share your work with the social media world.

What if Im unsatisfied with my purchase?

All of my services are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. This guarantee and any other policies will be outlined in our initial call so you know EXACTLY what to expect.

Where can I hear your music?

You can listen to samples of my personal productions and mixes at the link below, go to my playlists for a more organized experience.

For a sampling of work I've done for other artists, I can only share those privately in a call as they may be unreleased by the artist.

Who are you?

I am a degreed music educator with 20 years experience and a passion for helping others achieve their goals as an artist, producer, and mixer.
