About Me: Your Music Production Mentor
Â
My musical journey began at an early age, when I was just a toddler. I inherited a basic Casio keyboard and, with no formal training, I taught myself to play melodies from video game songs I loved—entirely by ear.
This early exploration sparked my passion for music, leading me to formal piano lessons and eventually joining my school's symphonic band, where I learned to play brass instruments. By the time I was in 8th grade, I received a cracked copy of FL Studio from a friend, and that's when my path in music production truly began. Along with my dedication to the high school band, it became clear that music was not just a hobby—it was my life’s calling.
Over the years, I experimented with FL Studio, creating unfinished techno tracks that were unpolished and far from perfect. But I didn’t stop. I kept learning, improving, and experimenting. Eventually, I switched to Ableton Live, diving deeper into mixing, mastering, and refining my craft. That’s when everything started to click, and I knew that music production was not just something I loved—it was something I could teach.
To further my expertise, I decided to pursue a degree in Music Education at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, graduating in 2012. Since then, I’ve gained diverse experience in the music industry. I’ve worked as a private brass instructor, an elementary general music teacher, a purchasing agent for a music retail company, and even a DJ specializing in House and Salsa music. I also served as a "Beatmaking" instructor for an afterschool program. Most recently, I worked at Guitar Center, where I taught DJing and music production—and where I proudly held the record for the most Pro Audio students in the entire company.

Why I Teach Music Production
Â
Nothing brings me greater joy than empowering others to create music. Music is not just an art; it’s a form of self-expression, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to share their voice with the world. In today's rapidly evolving digital age, it's easy to forget that we are human. We are not just numbers or faceless figures; we need a platform to be heard.
With today’s technology, a single person can write, produce, and release a hit song from the comfort of their bedroom. That's why I’m passionate about teaching music production: it’s a powerful tool for individuals to share their unique stories, ideas, and emotions with the world.
If you’re ready to take your music production skills to the next level and discover your own creative potential, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
